When I went in search of hearing help, I learned early on that my audiologist could not do this job all by herself. Her decisions depended on my input. Yes, buying hearing aids was going to be a team effort. I had to become involved in my own care. More importantly, I needed a plan that would guide me through the whole process: before, during and after the purchase.
As I knew little about hearing aids, I did some research and came with a list of questions. I also took notes and kept a diary so that I could give accurate information to the audiologist. For a more detailed look at my plan, I refer you to the blog that I wrote for www.Hearinglikeme.com, sponsored by Phonak
